Our Mission
There are so many great resources out there to help you and your family know and love the Lord and His Word. The Lord calls us to share our resources (Hebrews 13:16) and that’s exactly what we want to do here! Our purpose is to provide Gospel-rich books for people of all ages to borrow, free of charge. Thanks for checking us out and we pray that you continue to grow in your walk with the Lord.
How Did It Start?
When my children were little, the Lord convicted me to assess everything in our lives. I felt like I had such a small, precious amount of time to impress on my children the grace and Truth of the Lord. He put me on a journey to look at everything, one of which was our media and book consumption. At the time, my oldest son LOVED to read. He would listen to me read all day long if he could. The Lord was using a Bible study at the time to encourage me to talk with my children about the Lord at all times and in all places (Deuteronomy 6:7-8). One day, I was struck with a thought - "Am I reading books to my kids that are telling them to Truth?" I looked at our library of books and came to the conclusion that the majority of our children's books were spiritually neutral. They weren't anti-Biblical, but they certainly were not filling their minds and hearts with the Truth of the Word. My husband and I decided that we would start building our library of Biblically-based children's books.
Fast forward a few months, I fell in love with reading books to my children about the Lord (praise God for that!). Then the Lord put a new mission in my heart - I needed to share these amazing books with my community. And Share the Word Ministry was formed.
